Certainly. We’ve heard overwhelmingly that there’s a demand for standardizing the virtual learning experience. While we understand that online learning can’t fully replace in-class education, especially in terms of its positive value, we recognize that during challenges like a pandemic, online learning becomes a necessity. We’re committed to improving the tools and resources for online education by September.

Could you provide more information about the government’s investment in technology for students?

Of course. We’re investing $15 million to ensure that 37,000 computers are available for students in the upcoming school year. It’s essential to equip students with the necessary technology to succeed in their studies.

You mentioned safety protocols and guidelines for child-care centers. Could you elaborate on these measures?

Certainly. We’re allocating additional funding for child-care centers to enhance safety measures, including providing more personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning materials. Child-care operators can access government funding, provided they don’t increase fees for parents beyond pre-pandemic levels.

Mental health has been a significant concern during the pandemic. How is the government addressing this issue?

Mental health is a top priority. Through consultations, we’ve learned about the increased need for mental health support due to COVID-19. To address this, we are significantly increasing investments in mental health.
