Dovewell Oilfield Services is an indigenous oil and gas service company that was established in 2009. Our company offers a wide range of services including inspection, process control and instrumentation, marine support and cleaning, surface protection, crane maintenance, and installation and commissioning. We are proud to have served esteemed clients such as Shell, Addax Petroleum, Total, Exxon, Chevron, and marginal field operators. With our in-depth knowledge, experience, and expertise in the oil industry, we strive to provide innovative solutions for our clients’ technical challenges. We prioritize client satisfaction and are dedicated to helping them overcome even the most complex obstacles.

Furthermore, we have experienced significant growth over the years and currently employ approximately 100 staff members. Our operations extend beyond Nigeria to Equatorial Guinea and Ghana, with plans to expand into Angola in the future. We continually strive to develop and diffuse technologies throughout the value chain, ensuring that our clients benefit from our cutting-edge advancements.

Dovewell is at the forefront of technological innovation in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. We are proud to be one of the three companies in the country utilizing drones for inspection services, giving us a competitive edge in the market. Acquiring a license to deploy drone technologies required us to demonstrate our competencies in drone procedures to the Nigerian Airforce Services. By incorporating drone technology into our operations, we have significantly increased operational efficiency while reducing costs. Remote inspections allow us to collect real-time data readings and reports, streamlining the entire inspection process.

Can you provide insight into Dovewell’s product portfolio?

Dovewell offers a comprehensive range of products and services to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our product portfolio includes contracting and procurement services for drilling equipment, pumps, valves, fittings and flanges, wellheads, instrumentation, and OCTG/line pipes. We have established strategic partnerships worldwide, and we proudly represent OMES for sub-Saharan Africa. Collaborating closely with our clients’ project teams, we gain a thorough understanding of their requirements and suggest the most suitable products to fulfill their needs. Furthermore, we provide end-to-end value chain services by delivering all procured items to the client’s facility and offering technical support for installation, commissioning, and ongoing operations and maintenance.

There is a lack of sufficient gas utilization in Nigeria. What do you believe is causing this?

The underutilization of gas in Nigeria can be attributed to several factors. Historically, the government has been slow to promote and enable gas utilization. However, there has been a positive shift, and the government is now actively putting legal and fiscal frameworks in place to encourage gas exploration in the country. Building the necessary infrastructure to support gas utilization is also a critical factor.

Challenges such as corruption, violence, insecurity in some regions, and sabotage have hindered the industry’s and the country’s social and economic development. Security issues in certain areas have impeded gas development, and the prevalence of corruption has discouraged some investors from entering the country and pursuing new projects. The government is taking steps to address these risks and challenges to promote the country and attract more investment.
