What major accomplishments have you achieved in the past year?
Breaking the $150 million revenue mark stands out as a significant milestone. Starting from Rochester, New York, about a decade ago, having a nationwide presence and reaching that revenue milestone feels incredibly rewarding. Regarding the pandemic, our ability to swiftly adapt was crucial. With a robust IT setup, our transition to secure remote work was seamless for our 1,200 staff. Their dedication ensured our business not only survived but thrived during a challenging year.
What are your expectations for engineering and construction in Charlotte in the next 12 to 18 months?
We’re optimistic. There’s a considerable backlog of projects that were delayed last year due to uncertainty, and many are now gaining traction alongside the workload originally planned for 2021. This, coupled with an influx of individuals relocating from the Northeast to the Southeast, bodes well for the industry. Charlotte’s transformation from a banking center to a vibrant, diverse community is palpable. The burgeoning tech workforce and the city’s creative energy make it an exciting place to be. LaBella Associates aims to significantly expand its presence in the Southeast.
