Can you shed light on the background behind Brisk’s establishment?
Having worked as a consultant in London, I returned to Romania, incorporating my experiences from abroad as a foundation for Brisk. My aim was to adapt and apply this expertise to Romania’s landscape, emphasizing value creation by understanding clients’ needs and tailoring services. Effective project management hinges on synchronizing time, quality, and cost for successful outcomes.
Could you share a scenario where project interests differed from those of the client?
In Bucharest’s diverse residential market, cost pressures vary across different areas, impacting the final product. Consultants navigate such challenges, ensuring optimal solutions by aligning client interests with project demands. Early engagement is crucial to mitigate potential issues from the project’s onset.
How did the pandemic impact Brisk, particularly concerning demand and cost-saving measures?
Surprisingly, the pandemic period proved favorable for us due to our flexibility and upward trajectory. Despite initial concerns, our adaptability and forward-thinking approach helped overcome challenges. Digitalization, an ongoing plan since 2016, received acceleration during this time, enhancing accessibility to cloud software for team members and promoting innovation.
What notable innovations do you see in the real estate industry, and why are they significant?
Sustainability, witnessed in Romania’s 50% green office spaces, is a growing focus for developers, emphasizing responsible building materials and practices. Digitalization, including AI and automation, enhances work efficiency and security. Prefabricated materials, though prevalent in Western Europe, aren’t widely used in Romania due to cost-effectiveness favoring traditional materials.
Comparing your UK experience to Romania’s construction market, what challenges and advantages stand out?
Romania offers substantial investment opportunities with healthy yields and lower risk, although infrastructure remains a concern. The market is vibrant, especially in key cities like Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj, Brasov, and Constanta. Western markets are more stable but saturated, with lower returns compared to Romania.
With growth on the horizon, how does Brisk plan to navigate this landscape in the coming years?
Innovation remains pivotal, ensuring continual progression and adaptation to evolving trends. Proactivity is key to anticipate and manage challenges. Brisk aims to grow sustainably alongside the market, emphasizing predictability in its approach.
