What is Panorama’s primary focus when it comes to the buyer and seller profiles engaging with your agency?
Our enduring foundation in Marbella’s real estate market continues to see substantial involvement from international buyers, particularly in the luxury segment. For homes priced over 2 million euros, we find that at least 90% are purchased by foreigners. In Andalusia, where we operate, 15% of home purchases involve foreign nationals, a figure that leaps to 34% in the province of Malaga. British buyers lead the pack in Malaga at 16%, followed by Swedes at 12%, and the Dutch at 8%, highlighting the diverse clientele we serve.
Reflecting on the milestones achieved in 2023, what significant developments or successes have defined Panorama’s journey this year?
Celebrating our 50-year legacy in the industry is a testament to our resilience and commitment. Throughout 2023, we focused on modernizing our digital presence with an enhanced website, expanded our team to include 30 seasoned professionals, and marked the 20th anniversary of our esteemed publication, The Marbella Property Magazine. Retaining our values and energy while adapting to the ever-evolving landscape has been our foremost achievement. We take pride in offering personalized, top-tier service consistently, maintaining our enthusiasm and core values since our inception in Marbella.
Amidst the evolving real estate trends in Spain, what challenges and opportunities has Panorama encountered this year?
We’ve experienced a notably positive impact amid market trends. The emergence of Branded Residences, a collaboration between prestigious brands and sophisticated developers, has been a highlight. Grupo Sierra Blanca, led by Pedro Rodríguez and his sons Carlos and Luis, spearheads this sector in Marbella with successful ventures like Epic by Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld Villas. The partnership with Dolce & Gabbana for Marbella Design Hills, a sizeable project, presents its own set of challenges and opportunities. Despite the challenges, collaborating on internationally recognized projects like these remains an opportunity for us to contribute our expertise.
Can you share any notable property transactions Panorama has facilitated this year?
Panorama’s dedication transcends the size or complexity of transactions. While respecting clients’ confidentiality, we concluded various significant deals this year, including an apartment sold for €8,500,000, two villas at prices exceeding €9,500,000 and €16,000,000 respectively, and two investment plots sold for €10,000,000 and €15,000,000.
