The landscape of the aerospace industry has changed dramatically over the past few years. Previously, suppliers such as Eldec made higher profit margins compared to aircraft companies, which had slimmer margins. However, this trend has reversed, and aircraft companies are now making higher profit margins than suppliers. This has resulted in a more challenging environment for suppliers, such as Eldec, to operate in.
In terms of the growth of the aerospace industry in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, what role does Zodiac Aerotechnics expect to play?
Zodiac Aerotechnics has already played a significant role in the growth of the aerospace industry in the region. Over the past five years, the company has grown from having less than 300 employees to around 500, and has expanded its physical presence by building new facilities and developing existing premises. Zodiac Aerotechnics’ growth has also helped to foster a strong local supply base and establish robust vendor relationships.
